3. Select an Interrupt Level that is not currently in use.

4. If any ISA adapter is installed, check for available Bus I/O Address values by

entering the following command:

lsresource -l bus -a | grep bus_io

This command generates a list of adapters using bus I/O that looks similar to

the following:

O fda bus_io_addr x3f - x3f5

O fda bus_io_addr2 x3f7

O ppa bus_io_addr x3bc - x3be

O sa bus_io_addr x3f8 - x3ff

O sa1 bus_io_addr x2f8 - x2ff

O sioka bus_io_addr x6

O sioma bus_io_addr x6

O ampx bus_io_addr x2a - x2a6

O sa2 bus_io_addr x14 - x17

O scsi bus_io_addr xf - xfff

O scsi1 bus_io_addr x1 - x1ff

5. Select a Bus I/O Address that is not currently in use.

6. If any ISA adapter is installed, check for available Bus Memory values by

entering the following command:

lsresource -l bus -a | grep bus_mem

This command generates a list of adapters using different Bus Memory

Addresses that looks similar to the following:

B ampx bus_mem_addr xe - xe1fff

B apm bus_mem_addr xe2 - xe3fff

B gga bus_mem_start x1 - x1ffffff

7. Select a Bus Memory that is not currently in use.

The valid Bus Memory values for use with the X.25 Interface Co-Processor ISA

Adapter start at 0x0e0000 and increment by 0x002000. For example, they are

0x0e2000, 0x0e4000, 0x0e6000, and so on. The previous example shows

ampx is using the first Bus Memory range of 0X0e000, and apm is using the

second range of 0x0e2000.

8. Install the X.25 Interface Co-Processor ISA Adapter device driver and

diagnostic by choosing:

smit isa

 Install ISA Adapter Software

to install the fileset

device.isa.c1x

9. After installing the software, you might enter:

smit isa

 Add an ISA Adapter

10. Select articmpx isa X.25 Coprocessor/1 Adapter from the SMIT pop-up

menu.

11. Select bus1 Available ISA Bus from the following SMIT pop-up menu.
