Log-Record Read Filters
-d Option
Ifyoudonotusethe-doption,tblogreadsthelogicallogfilesstoredondisk,
starting with the logical log file with the lowest logid number. The tblog
utilityusesthepathnamesstoredintherootdbspacereservedpagestolocate
thelogicallogfiles.IfOnLineisinofflinemodewhenyouexecutetblog,only
the files ondiskareread.If OnLine isin quiescent oronlinemode, tblogalso
reads the logical log records stored in the logical log buffers in shared
memory (after all records on disk have been read).
Whenyoureadthecurrentlogicallogondisk,readandwriteaccessisdenied
to all other user processes. For this reason, Informix recommends that you
wait to read the contents of the logical log files until after the files have been
backed up and then read the files from tape.
-n Option
If you do not use the -n option, tblog reads all logical log files available
(either on disk or on tape).
