Chapter 9
When searching for objects by name, an as terisk (
*
) can be used as a wildcard character to match
any string of c
haracters, and a question mark (
?
) ma tches any single character. For example,
*cluster* matches all objects that include the string cluster anywhere in the name. The search
string m0?_* matches M01_cluster.str and M02_cluster.str b ut not M01a_cluster.str. Searches are
not case sens
itive (cluster matches Cluster matches CLUSTER).
Note: If the number of objects is large, se arches may take a few m om ents.
Searching by Other Criteria
You can perform a search based on title, labe l, dates, author, keywords, indexed content, or
descript ion. Only objects that match all specified se arch criteri a will be found. For example, you
could locate all str eams containing on e or more clustering models th at also h ave a specific label
applied, and which were modified after a specific date.

fic type of model
Object Types.
You can restrict the search to mode ls , streams, outputs, no de s, SuperNodes, p r ojects,
model palettes, sc en arios, or other types of obj ects.
Models.
You can sear ch for models by c ategory (classification, approximation, clustering,
etc.) or by a specific m odeling algori thm, such as Kohonen.
You can also search by fields used—for example, all models that use a field named income
as an input or output (target) field.
Streams.
For streams, you can restrict the sea r ch by fields used, or model type (either ca tegory
or algorithm) contained in the stream.
