IBM Personal Computer User Guide
Software shutdown
Using the software shutdown feature
Follow these steps to use the software shutdown feature:
1. Click on the
Start
button on the lower left corner of the Windows 98 screen.
2. Click on
Shut down...
to display a confirmation screen with a list of options.
3. Select the option
Shut down
. Then click on
OK
.
Note:
Make sure that you have saved your work before
doing the next step. Selecting
Shut Down...
completely turns off the computer and all unsaved
data will be lost.
